All Goods Things…
All good things come to an end. And so are holidays!
As a married woman, it is understood that you are the master of the household activities. So when holidays end, what’s a girl to do? Read on:
1. Fix and store the Christmas tree and other decorations, like the lights. Some actually let them stay after the holidays, but imagine the necessary cleaning. They can get very dusty in time. They might even get damaged due to being stagnant for a long time. Put them in a nice and warm place.
2. Now, let’s go to the kitchens. Yes, the left-over foods. Some of them are still fine, the fruitcakes and wine for instance. But appetizers and salads should go. You may also give them to the homeless people, the holidays may end but the goodness of the heart will continue.
3. The gifts. You’re lucky if you received the exact thing that you were wishing for. But it is unavoidable to get some stuff that you don’t like, or worse, won’t use. If majority of the gifts in your house will be seeing its future in the trash or the attic, then give garage sale a try. Sell them at a lower price. Now, that’s what money in the trash means.
4. Give thank you cards to the generous people who remembered you last Christmas. Yes, include the people who gave you those things that are in the garage sale. Show them your appreciation. Baked cookies are best paired with the cards.
5. Savor the vacation! Spend time with your loved ones. Take a break from work and do the things that you rarely do on regular days (Sewing for me!).
Have a happy vacation!
